The Greatest Game I Ever Played
The Hockey News’ latest book, The Greatest Game I Ever Played, relives the game like never before. Epic games from Hall of Famers, superstars, minor leaguers, junior hotshots, college sensations, one-game wonders and even referees overflow the pages with their record-setting, moment-making and heart-stopping achievements!
Pick a single game that defines your career – the one when you were at your best from start to finish, the one you want to be remembered for. That’s what we asked of some of the greatest hockey players, past and present, as well as some of the sport’s forgotten heroes, whose lights shined briefly yet brilliantly for 60 minutes – and sometimes more – of hockey history. The result is a collection of the best single-game performances captured in 40 stories for The Greatest Game I Ever Played, a 208-pages, edge-of-your-seat read that brings fans onto the ice, into the dressing rooms and inside the heads of the players who pulled off these epic feats of puck glory. Through The Hockey News’ cadre of storytellers, players tell their tales of single-game greatness – setting records, immortalizing moments and creating memories that’ll continue to live on long after they hung up their skates.
